Solo exhibition in the Toradh Kells

Tempesta (after Maclise)  (etching)

(November 2024-January 2025).

Tempesta (50 nights in a Dublin Hotel)

I’ve put a body of paintings and prints together which will be shown in the Toradh Gallery in Kells later this year (thanks to Meath County Council) . The work came about in response to Deirdre Kinahan’s play ‘Tempesta’ for which I composed the score for and in which I performed in Cork this summer and Dublin last year. The work is also a part of my rediscovery of Dublin during a fifty night stay in a hotel, the Rezz in Temple Bar. Most of the collection was made in my hotel room during the play, although some paintings and prints were completed back home in my studio in Sligo and in the Black Church Print studios in TempleBar. This will be my third solo show after “Roadworks’ and ‘Geronimo’ in the Model, Sligo.
